WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

HOW DOES IT WORK?

It's simple! You get the group together and pick the location, I come to that location and facilitate a super fun and unique music class! Classes can be held on a weekly basis or as a one-time event. It's up to you!

I start with a conversation about what you are looking for in a music class.

From there, we work together to decide on the appropriate length, frequency of classes,  scheduling, as well as plan appropriate Covid safety protocols that you and your family are comfortable with.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL MUSIC CLASS LOOK LIKE?

I hope to create custom experiences for each class. Rather than using a specific model or curriculum, I use a collaborative and child-centered approach to plan content for classes.

If you are looking to start weekly classes, I typically will include some kind of greeting and goodbye songs to indicate the beginning and end of the class. What happens in between the greeting and ending songs is where we get creative! We could play percussion instruments, explore the sounds of an orchestra, learn about musical concepts like tempo and dynamics, choreograph a dance, write a silly song, practice literacy and numeracy… I let the children in the class lead by listening to their ideas and interests and incorporating them into the music class.

If you are looking for an occasional or one-time class, I will work with you to create a balance of movement, singing, instrument play, and more to make your class as personalized as possible!

WHAT ARE YOUR COVID SAFETY PRECAUTIONS?

  1. I wear a mask at all times. It is a special singer’s mask, which looks a little like a duckbill, and enables me to sing and move more freely.

  2. I provide as much safe, social-distance as possible depending on the space available.

  3. Instruments and materials are thoroughly sanitized before and after each class.

  4. Instruments are limited to materials that are easily sanitized.

  5. I will always have sanitizing wipes, hand sanitizer, and a UV sanitization box.

  6. I will take my temperature prior to each session.

  7. Clients are preferred to wear masks during the group, even when outside (though I do understand that some children might not tolerate wearing a mask).

  8. I TALK TO EACH FAMILY AND CREATE A COVID-SAFTEY PLAN THAT EVERYONE FEELS COMFORTABLE WITH.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Class prices are determined by four factors

1. Length of Class (30-minutes, 45-minutes, 60- minutes)

2. Number of children

3. Frequency of Classes (1-time event, 1x/week, 2x/month…)

4. Location (Additional travel fees may be charged if more than 20 miles from Bethesda, MD)

*I will provide a quote with rates per class after I find out your family’s needs.
